In an age in which there are products everywhere we look, people want new and well-designed products that improve our quality of life. We teach students to create designs that draw on a sense of beauty and fashion, as well as research into the needs of customers, safety and usability.
● Product Design Stream (Industrial, GUI, Transportation)
1. Critically examine and improve your designs
Create better products by contemplating the production process and questioning the aims and form of your design.
2. Anticipate demand by thinking practically
Consider the effect of your work on your audience by considering its links to society, to objects and to our five senses.
3. Make your products more practical
Increase the usefulness of your product by imagining a person using it, considering not only the design, but also more practical features like the size and weight.
After graduating from the Product Specialization, students can work as industrial designers, product designers or merchandise designers in areas such as the design section of a manufacturer, an interior design company, an interior design store, household goods manufacturer or household goods store. Graduates can also use their knowledge of human needs and cutting-edge technology as a designer of disability-accessible facilities, or other design products.
